Berry Season Is Here

It’s berry season, and I couldn’t be happier. We eat a lot of berries at my house but Strawberries and Blueberries are a must-have. So, I did a little research to see which benefits us the most.

Strawberries are a good source of fiber, potassium, and folate. 6 to 8 berries are about 50 calories and also a great source of vitamin C. Strawberries also contain anthocyanins, which may help protect the nervous system and blood vessels.

Studies have shown that strawberries can help protect against, certain cancers and type 2 diabetes.

Blueberries are also high in vitamin C and vitamin K. Studies have shown blueberries can help improve memory and hand-eye coordination.

One cup of blueberries is around 80 calories.

So including these berries in your diet is a healthy idea and a tasty choice.
