What To Plant In October

While the cooler temperatures are less stressful on plants, the sun is still giving off enough heat to make October a wonderful time to be in the garden. Here in zone 9, I have about 52 days before I need to be worried about frost.

So, what can you plant in October?

Here are some annual flowers that grow well as winter plants:

  • Pansies
  • Violets
  • Carnations
  • Baby’s Breath
  • Geraniums
  • Delphiniums
