The vast majority of garden mums are hardy in Zones 5 to 9.

Coral Bells
Coral bells are great in containers and provide beautiful color combinations and uniquely shaped foliage. They are shade-loving plants but can also tolerant of full sun in the cooler days of fall. Most coral bells are hardy in USDA hardiness zones 4 through 9.

Daphne
An extremely fragrant flowering shrub, many varieties of daphne are hardy in zone 4 through 9 and will bloom through the winter.

Goldenrod
Goldenrod does well in containers as well as in the ground.
