A Full Moon Brings The Mosquitoes

According to the American Mosquito Control Association, mosquitoes are 500 times more active during a full moon.

This is because a full moon mimics the look of twilight, the time when mosquitoes are most active. They can move as far as 40 miles a night.

That’s a lot of area covered in a short amount of time, so when you can view the full moon from indoors.

Fun Fact:

  • Smelly feet are attractive to certain species of mosquitoes – as is Limburger Cheese.
